Strandbibliotheken


In the South Holland resorts Katwijk, Scheveningen and Angle of Holland open tomorrow the first strandbibliotheken. Membership and passes are not required to borrow books. The Scheveningen strandbibliotheek shall submit at least also German books in the racks. The strandbibliotheek fits in a bibliotheekvernieuwingsproject that is directed by the province of South Holland.

 

The last two summers also had a strandbibliotheek Zeebrugge during a month. In sunny weather there were a hundred customers per day.

The Zeebrugse strandbib is an initiative of the De Biekorf, the main library of Bruges. It is located in a seaside cabin and enjoy. There are 700 books, 300 magazines and 200 comics in.

This summer, the Zeebrugse strandbibliotheek open from 1 July to 15 August.
