International streektaalconferentie in Brussels

Friday, June 12, in Brussels, the fourth edition of the International Streektaalconferentie. Taalvariatiebeleid is the central theme of this conference.
In the Netherlands, the Limburg and the ( Nieder-sachsen recognized as autochthonous. The European Charter for regional and minority languages, is used as an instrument for streektaalbeleid. In Belgium there is little enthusiasm for the recognition of minority, let alone for the Charter as policy framework. There are alternative policy frameworks in national or international level? How can a pro-active and varied taalvariatiebeleid be developed?
